James Monaghan
Since some of the earliest days of Barton Ct.’s creation, it did not take long for company creator Stephen Wolfe to meet James Monaghan. James Monaghan took on an active role in the company, began enthusiastically acting in many of Stephen Wolfe’s earlier films, including playing the main lead of Rayden in the Howloween series. In 2004, James Monaghan made his directorial debut with Midnight Blue:Dark As Night, and received praise and awards for the project, including Oscar Night 2004’s Best Barton Ct. Film. During the time of the film’s release, James Monaghan was a Board member with connections, social poise, and an unmatched charisma that attracted his small Pearland, Texas audience to the company’s efforts. After writing three more known scripts, Walker’s War, Midnight Blue 2:The Ultimate Syn, and Black & White, a teaser trailer was produced for Black & White, James cancelled the project and transferred permissions to produce the project to director Scott Lee. Nothing has yet happened with James Monaghan’s abandoned projects. Great interest was expressed by the company to produce or reproduce different portions of his Midnight Blue series, but holding onto the copyrights James did not permit the company to make any Midnight Blue project without his supervision.
By the second half of 2005, James Monaghan was reported by the other Board members and friends as having during this time, and times prior, periods of intense depression and shifting mood swings. While many considered his loss of interest in company affairs a result of his depression and the end of his love affair with actress Misty Cook, James reinforced his increasingly busy schedule into his later high school years and his interest in further pursuing theater as opposed to film, where he has since appeared in numerous productions at Pearland High School.
James Monaghan now attends NYU (New York University) to pursue an acting major.
The star of the old Howloween series, James Monaghan is one of the most internally well known Barton Ct. actors in that he’s made an amazing amount of on-screen appearances in several of the Barton films. After doing the three Howloween films that exist, being an avid character in Doomsday, Unknown, playing parts in Dracula 2002, and Frankenstein, James took his hand at the director’s chair with Midnight Blue, and the film became a major and influential success in the Barton Ct. Productions 2003 lineup. In 2004 James, with Stephen Wolfe and Scott Lee, have started what is now known as the Barton Ct. Productions Board of Directors, consisting of the major people who manage and keep the group alive, where James was once the practical representative spokesman for the group.
James made a departure from the Board of Directors prior to the company’s incorporation in May of 2006, communicating that he would rather be a writer for the company instead of an actor or director. He has yet to write a screenplay that has been greenlighted by Barton Ct. Productions Inc.
