Barton Ct. Productions Inc. Company Administrator: Scott Lee
Company Admin Scott Lee here! Throughout the course of working on Barton Police, a lot of changes have happened with cast and crew. People have gotten in fights, guys and girls have gotten together, broken up, people have laughed, cried, gotten fired from their jobs, gotten new jobs, and so many other things. Essentially, two lives revolve in and out of the show: the lives of the characters which stay fundamentally the same and follow the events of our actual lives which are under a constant evolution. And things really have been crazy!
But that’s not really a good excuse. In any case, we want everyone to know that we are still hard at work on the final episode of Barton Police and also: getting the 8th episode up with the codec problem that has plagued us since its weak release solved. There has been some issue that we have yet to figure out with YouTube. While we were trying to get the show done, summer classes have snuck up on me while Stephen Wolfe, the director and musician Chris Worrell have to deal with the goal of finishing Midnight Abyss by their film festival deadline.
As you may or may not be able to tell - I am not 100% thrilled with how far Barton Police release dates have had to be pushed back over and over again. Still, Barton Police is far from dead and we are planning on continuing the series in a variety of ways. Writer/Director Stephen Wolfe still intends to do a feature length movie remake which will switch things up (we all believe: for the better). Of course, nothing is officially confirmed at the moment and everything that we have ever done always requires more money.
We hope to have the Barton Police DVD released sometime before the end of August and we are hoping to also have a brand new Barton Police website up and running by the end of September. I’m Not Gonna Lie and its fully original new music is currently at a toss up… there is debate over who will work on and/or finish the project because when it comes to me: my time has expired with all of my other impending bills to pay and deadlines to meet elsewhere. I will have to spend my time over the course of the next year and a half finishing up my BS in Psychology from the University of Houston.
Still, you will be able to look forward to Stephen Wolfe’s new film, Midnight Abyss, and its completion quite soon along with its entry into what I imagine will be more than one film festival in the country. We are going to be stepping up promotion where we can in the coming months, too. At this point, if we can just get the following done by the end of 2010 I think we’ll be pretty happy with ourselves:
- We’re going to launch the official website of Justin Herman, JHermtheGerm.com, which will feature a very thorough biography, along with skits, videos, and other sorts of updates from Justin himself.
- I already mentioned above: Barton Police on DVD in August and the newly revamped BartonPolice.com in September.
- I’m Not Gonna Lie we HOPE to still complete but there are complications now that projects and deadlines have collided with one another in scheduling and the cost/benefit ratio is questionable.
- We’re giving away almost 100 DVD’s of our old 2006 release: Barton Ct. Collections Volume 1 along with an album from local rap artist: A.L.
- We’ll distribute approximately 1500 more cards and get about 750 more friends on MySpace along with passing the 500 mark on the Barton Police Facebook page.
- The Barton Police “movie cut” will be completed: a condensed 2 hour version of Barton Police designed for entry into various film festivals.
- The script for “Barton Police: The Movie” will be in development throughout the remainder of the year by Stephen Wolfe.
In addition to school and keeping busy with my various other projects I am also working on a new book, which we’ve mentioned here on BartonCT.com before, and I hope to have that completed over the course of the next year with the final version of its drafts being proposed to various publishers sometime around the end of 2011. It is also possible you will see me pop up somewhere within the world of music but nothing for sure just yet.
And now I’m out of time, I have to go study for my summer class and hopefully get some other important things done tonight! Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who has been watching our show, we owe any benefit we’ve received in terms of networking, money, support, or any other encouragement to our viewers. Hope I’ve filled you guys in sufficiently and take it easy!
