Over the course of the past week we’ve been focusing on getting back to online promotion a bit, adding people on MySpace, Snapvine, and YouTube. Everywhere we go, we’re meeting new people and telling them about Barton Police, mainly, and I’m Not Gonna Lie continues to get mentioned even a year after its initial screening with it so close to a public release. Some of the latest voice updates Scott Lee has been busy talking with director Stephen Wolfe of both I’m Not Gonna Lie and Barton Police, Chester Smith who plays the character Rookie Bob Riley on Barton Police, and musician and long time friend Chris Worrell aka Kreese.
Stephen Wolfe gave some insight earlier yesterday before going into the editing room as to what I’m Not Gonna Lie is really all about (as people have been wondering after seeing the trailers), and talks about how the film evolved over time. Originally, the movie was to follow only David Ochoa and his journey prior to taking a Mormon mission trip, but transformed into something far more deep and philosophic.
Much of the cast that was followed during the entirely unscripted documentary I’m Not Gonna Lie went on to actually act in the scripted, planned, entertaining scenes of the new comedy series Barton Police. See the Episode 1 trailer for Barton Police here. While Chester Smith and Chris Worrell were hanging out with Scott later that night, they took some time to talk about what’s been up and what it’s been like working on Barton Police, as well as Stephen Wolfe as a director.
And continuing on the tour of voice blogs, Scott gave a very inspiring improvised speech for the listeners of the Barton Ct. voice updates and Snapvine page unrelated to general film making and more related to life and the importance of being social.
Coming within the next couple of days will be another all new trailer for I’m Not Gonna Lie followed closely by part 1 of the film, available for free viewing on YouTube!
