Happy Halloween, everybody. It’s Scott and I still have no idea what I’m going to be doing tonight for this Halloween, have no idea what I’m going to be doing. There’s a few parties going on, I may hit up one of them. I still don’t know if my attempt at a costume is going to come out well at all. At first I was actually thinking about actually being a Goth, and then sort of a last minute idea I was like oh - what if I were to dress up as Mystery, the pick up artist? But that didn’t work out because I couldn’t find the items I needed for my costume so I’m back to being a goth. I figured I might as well represent a high school clique, ’cause that’s the best thing to do on Halloween, it being such a social holiday. Haha.
Man, the other night I was at the Scout Bar here in Houston. Saw the Nonpoint/12 Stones/New Revolution show at Scout Bar and wow, it was a really, really crazy show. I really got into it, got into the music. I went over to the vocalist for Nonpoint, lead singer Chris Elias and shook his hand. I let him know that he keeps me living, changed my life, and he’s one of my favorites as I’m sure tons of other ordinary fans have done but I had to do it anyway because what the hell - I was there right? Might as well.
Anyway the main reason I actually wanted to record this voice blog was actually to tell everybody about this promotional tour that we’re gonna be doing. It’s going to be really, really incredible. I can’t really say too many details about it at this point because honestly we still have a lot of planning to do. There’s not a whole lot I can say about it at this point but we have announced it as a news update on the website. We have announced it literally moments ago whenever we posted that, but basically the bottom line is that we’re going to be setting up ‘Barton Booths,’ promotional booths that are going to be set up at various venues around Houston.
It’s going to be pretty sweet, it’s going to be pretty amazing. Our first few products that we’re putting together this year, they’re all going to be very legit. Everything that we’re doing this year is going to be very well put together. We’ve got a music CD, we’ve got artwork from Chester Smith, and of course the upcoming DVD release for Not Gonna Lie, which we are going to have ready whenever the tour begins. And we’re also working on that new comedy series. So there’s just a lot happening right now that we’re up to and it’s just going to be incredible.
I have already started calling people on Snapvine and talking with people on all the different networks: Yuwie, MySpace, you guys have been great. I want to thank anybody who has given us the time of day up until this point. You mean the world to me and I promise you that you mean the world to Stephen, and Justin, and anybody else associated with us. We love you guys for getting back in touch with us and even coming to say hi. Paying any attention to us what so ever is just outstanding, so thank you, guys, I just want to say thank you so much for everything that you’ve done for us so far. Especially thank you to anybody who has bought anything from us, bought anything from Dirty Mechanism, the hundreds of people from across the country who are now wearing that apparel - just…wow.
And thank you to the Barton Ct. Supporter members who were around during the course of that membership, which, after today we close out the sales and you will no longer be able to be a member of the Barton Ct. Supporter Program. So, anyway, thank you so much, all of you.
This tour is just going to be incredible, I know it is. And Stephen was telling me another night, we were talking with a band and the possibility of signing a record deal with this band, we were driving home from that and Stephen was telling me, “you know what? Dude this is gonna be,” this is it, he was basically saying this was going to lead to great things. Something good is going to come out of all of this and [good] stuff already has.
Anyway, with that in mind we just move forward, we just move forward with everything. With this tour you’ll be able to expect us sitting behind tables with a few of our different products and we’ll have little demos going of the music and the movies and the TV shows and stuff like that. All of our different products we’ll be able to demo all that stuff to people with video presentations and we’ll have brochures and we’ll just be talking with people, as many people as possible.
And I hope that, whoever is listening to this, if you live in Houston, I hope that you are one of the people that we get to meet. We’re going to announce where it is we’re going to be and whenever we do I really want you to come out and see us. And hell, chances are, you’ll be able to just hang out with us! I mean, God knows we’re probably going to be bored at several moments sitting at one table for like an entire day, so come hang with the Barton crew if you’re one of our followers!
But yeah, anyway, I hope you guys have a great Halloween. Happy Halloween to you all. Hopefully you’re wearing a costume. And if you knock on a door and they don’t give you candy, you don’t have to egg their house, it’s okay - other houses have candy, life goes on. And please, if you see black cats, be kind to them I promise you there is nothing wrong with black cats on Halloween. Black cats are around other times and they’re harmless then, they’re harmless on Halloween, they’re harmless all the time - leave the black cats alone. So, that’s my message for you. Alright, thanks!
